House of the Dragon: Season 2

Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” and set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the epic prequel series House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen at the height of its power. Though the realm has seen peace for generations, the delicate balance is threatened after King Viserys names his daughter Rhaenyra as the first woman heir to the Iron Throne, sparking a brutal battle over the succession. Season two finds Westeros on the brink of a bloody civil war as the rival factions of House Targaryen – the Greens and the Blacks – fight for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. While each side believes theirs to be the rightful claim to the Throne, when the realm begins to fracture, all in the Seven Kingdoms must proclaim their allegiance… and rally to avoid mutually assured destruction if dragons are unleashed.
